En un registro del diezmo del monasterio de Hersfeld, creado entre 881 y 899, Röblingen es mencionado por primera vez por escrito junto con los otros tres lugares con este nombre como el lugar sujeto a diezmos Rebiningi en Friesenfeld. En 932, Röblingen am See fue registrado en un documento de Enrique I como seorebininga en pago friesonoueld en el condado de Sigfrido.
