El VEB Kombinat Mikroelektronik Erfurt fue un Kombinat de Empresas de Propiedad Popular en la RDA, que se fundó en 1978 tras la disolución de la VVB Bauelemente und Vakuumtechnik. La empresa matriz del Kombinat fue el Funkwerk Erfurt, que en 1983 recibió el nombre de VEB Mikroelektronik "Karl Marx". La fundación del Kombinat fue el resultado de la resolución adoptada el 23/24 de junio de 1977 por el ZK del SED "Para la implementación adicional de las decisiones del IX Congreso del SED en el ámbito de la ingeniería eléctrica y la electrónica".
El Kombinat Mikroelektronik Erfurt, junto con el Kombinat Elektronische Bauelemente Teltow, el VEB Kombinat Robotron Dresden y el Kombinat VEB Carl Zeiss Jena, conformaron la base industrial del programa de alta tecnología de la RDA en el área de electrónica.
