Debido a la ubicación única de la ciudad, las rutas en bicicleta hacia y alrededor de Rees se pueden combinar muy bien con un paseo por el Rin, así como a través del Rin. Así, el ferry "Rääße Pöntje" transporta a los ciclistas ávidos de experiencias entre Rees y Reeserschanz a través del vasto cauce del Rin, que mide más de 300 metros de ancho (temporada de ferry: Domingo de Ramos hasta el último domingo de octubre, Mi., Ju., Sá., Do. y en días festivos de 10 a 19 horas, en octubre de 10 a 18 horas, y durante las vacaciones de verano de NRW también los jueves). Además, hay dos ferries más para peatones y ciclistas, el ferry "Inseltreue B" entre Grietherort y Grieth y el ferry "Keer Tröch II" entre Wesel-Bislich y Xanten-Beek, que operan tanto aguas arriba como aguas abajo.
