Grazie alla posizione unica della città, le escursioni in bicicletta dentro e intorno a Rees possono essere facilmente abbinate a un viaggio lungo il Reno così come attraverso il Reno. Così, il traghetto per passeggeri "Rääße Pöntje" trasporta gli appassionati di cicloturismo tra Rees e Reeserschanz attraverso l'ampio flusso del Reno di oltre 300 metri (stagione del traghetto: dal Domenica delle Palme fino all'ultima domenica di ottobre, mer., ven., sab., dom. e nei giorni festivi dalle 10 alle 19, in ottobre dalle 10 alle 18, durante le vacanze estive della NRW anche il giovedì). Inoltre, ci sono altri due traghetti per pedoni e ciclisti che operano a valle e a monte con il traghetto per passeggeri "Inseltreue B" tra Grietherort e Grieth e il traghetto per passeggeri "Keer Tröch II" tra Wesel-Bislich e Xanten-Beek.
