DESCRIPCIÓN
Sede y residencia del Presidente de la Republica del Ecuador, fue construido entre el siglo XVII Y XIX.
“El primer cuerpo de la fachada es de piedra. El segundo cuerpo contiene una galería que da hacia la Plaza de la Independencia, con una columna realizada en piedra. Las columnas, de estilo griego, son 20 en total y reemplazan a las columnas originales de la Colonia, que eran de ladrillo.” (El Comercio, 2011)

PARTICULARIDADES
- En el año 2017 mediante decreto se manifiesta que el palacio y la residencia, junto con todos los obsequios que el Presidente recibe en sus visitas forman parte del Patrimonio Cultural ecuatoriano, por estas razones se convirtió en un museo accesible para todos.
- Es permitido el ingreso a los patios internos, varios salones representativos de la construcción, oratorio interior y balcón exterior.
