Arnedo es un municipio y ciudad de la comunidad autónoma de La Rioja , perteneciente a la comarca de la Rioja Baja. Tiene 14 954 habitantes . Está bañada por el río Cidacos y su economía depende fundamentalmente de la industria del calzado. Su nombre proviene posiblemente del latín arenetum, colectivo de «arena».
