Peñamellera Alta [1] es un concejo de la comunidad autónoma del Principado de Asturias, España. Limita al norte con Llanes, al oeste con Cabrales, al este con Peñamellera Baja y al sur con Cantabria.
Con una superficie total de 92,19 km², son las localidades de Alles, la capital del concejo, Llonín y Mier las que mayor número de personas concentran, siendo el resto de pueblos Rozagás y Oceño entre otros. Las carreteras regionales AS-114 y la AS-345 configuran sus dos principales vías de comunicación.
