Jijona es un municipio español situado en el interior de la provincia de Alicante, en la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Mundialmente famoso por ser el lugar donde se produce el apreciado dulce navideño del turrón, tanto la variedad de Jijona como la de Alicante. Cuenta con 6861 habitantes .
Integrado en la comarca de Campo de Alicante, se sitúa a 28 kilómetros de la capital provincial. El término municipal está atravesado por las carreteras CV-800 , que une Alicante con Alcoy, CV-774, que se dirige hacia Busot, CV-780, que permite la comunicación con Torremanzanas y CV-810, que conecta con Tibi. En su término municipal se encuentra el puerto de la Carrasqueta, paso natural de la carretera hacia Alcoy situado a una altitud de 1020 metros.
