Lequeitio[3] es un municipio y localidad de la provincia de Vizcaya, en la comunidad autónoma del País Vasco, España. Situado en la comarca de Lea Artibai y cuenta con una población de 7228 habitantes . Ostenta los títulos de "Noble y Leal Villa". Situada a orillas del golfo de Vizcaya en la cornisa cantábrica, Lequeitio tiene un paisaje adornado con la isla de San Nicolás y la ría del Lea, con dos amplias playas que hacen que la tradicional fuente económica, la pesca, sea sustituida por el turismo. La extensión del municipio es de 1,90 km².
