Seo de Urgel[6][7] [8][9] es un municipio español en la provincia de Lérida, situada en los Pirineos españoles, capital de la comarca del Alto Urgel , cabeza del partido judicial y sede de la diócesis de Urgel. También fue sede del antiguo condado de Urgel, antes de su expansión al sur.[9] Se encuentra dentro del ámbito territorial funcional del Alto Pirineo y Arán . Es la ciudad más poblada de la comarca y del ATF, concentrando el 17,4% de población de este último.[10]
