Siglo XVIII. Neoclásico.
Este edificio neoclásico con enormes columnas fue construido con dibujos de Melchor de Prado entre 1769 y 1805, en el lugar que anteriormente ocupaba el Colegio de la Compañía de Jesús. El último piso se añadió a finales del siglo XIX. La piedra de la fachada que representaba a Minerva fue reemplazada entonces por las gigantescas estatuas de los benefactores de la universidad: Lope Gómez de Marzoa, Juan de Ulloa, Alvaro de Cadaval y el conde de Monterrey.
En el interior se encuentran el jardín del claustro con fuente, el auditorio con pinturas de Fenolera y González, y la sala de lectura, así como las terrazas con vistas a toda la ciudad.
