La diócesis de Cartagena es una sede episcopal de la Iglesia católica sufragánea de la archidiócesis de Granada, en España. Su sede es la catedral de Santa María, situada en la ciudad de Murcia.
La tradición remonta los orígenes del culto cristiano en Cartagena a la predicación en España del apóstol Santiago, de quien se dice desembarcó en la ciudad para iniciar su misión en la Hispania romana.
