El embalse del Negratín se encuentra situado en el nororiental de la provincia de Granada, España, sobre el cauce del río Guadiana Menor. Está en los municipios de Guadix , Freila, Zújar, Baza, Benamaurel, Cortes de Baza y Cuevas del Campo.
Con una superficie de 2170 ha y una capacidad de 567 hm³, es el tercer embalse más grande de la comunidad autónoma de Andalucía, solo superado por el embalse de Iznájar y el embalse de Guadalcacín . La presa es mixta construida de gravedad y materiales sueltos con pantalla asfáltica para impermeabilizar. Se escogió esta solución debido a que el estribo izquierdo no era lo suficientemente estable como para construir una presa de hormigón.
