El pueblo de Fígols de Tremp, también llamado Fígols de la Conca, era término del mismo nombre, agregado en 1972 al término municipal de Tremp. De todos modos, el término histórico recibió varios nombres a lo largo de la historia: de 1812 al 15 de septiembre de 1877, se llamó Castissent, ya que tenía la capitalidad en aquel pueblo. Entre esta fecha y el 11 de diciembre de 1940 el pueblo de Eroles fue el jefe administrativo, y el término recibió el nombre de este pueblo. Finalmente, recibió el nombre de Fígols de Tremp ya que fue trasladada la capitalidad municipal.
