El cementerio está ubicado en las ruinas de la Iglesia del Salvador El Salvador. Está considerado como uno de los más bellos de España ,
La iglesia se incendió durante la guerra de independencia .
Se conserva la torre , que fue restaurada en 1722; también se puede ver la cúpula central de la iglesia y la sacristía.
El trazado del cementerio es irregular y pequeño. La forma de las tumbas varía desde los nichos más antiguos empotrados en los viejos muros de la iglesia, pasando por algunas tumbas en el suelo y nichos antiguos, hasta la construcción moderna de nichos en los últimos años.
