La Plaza mantiene diferentes estilos . En el paseo marítimo se encuentra la Iglesia de Santa María, que ha sufrido muchos cambios de estilo o de religión, románico, musulmán e incluso reformas afectadas por un terremoto hace años.
La vegetación combina grandes árboles como palmeras, cipreses y laureles. .. con plantas más pequeñas o setos en pequeños jardines rodeados de esta especie de seto, el arrayán.
La plaza no se caracteriza por la distinción de diferentes espacios, es solo un espacio central que alberga la fuente y 4 corredores radiales que entran y salen de ella, creando pequeños espacios ajardinados entre estos corredores.
