Construido entre 1901 y 1904 en arenisca gris en estilo neorrománico en el Jardin des Amours al final de la Place de la Comédie, el Temple Neuf contrasta pintorescamente con la arquitectura clásica de la Opéra-Théâtre. Iluminado al anochecer, se magnifica y se refleja en el Mosela, ofreciendo una de las vistas nocturnas más bellas de la ciudad.
