Der Temple Neuf wurde von 1901 bis 1904 im neoromanischen Stil aus grauem Sandstein im Jardin des Amours am Ende der Place de la Comédie errichtet und bildet einen malerischen Kontrast zur klassischen Architektur des Opernhauses. Wenn er bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit beleuchtet wird, erscheint er in voller Pracht und spiegelt sich in der Mosel, was eine der schönsten nächtlichen Aussichten der Stadt bietet.
