Jarnac es una localidad y comuna de Francia, situada en el departamento de la Charente y en la región región de Nueva Aquitania. Está situada en la orilla derecha del río Charente, entre Angulema y Cognac.
Es la ciudad natal del expresidente de Francia François Mitterrand.
Desde agosto de 2004, la ciudad acoge cada año la Universidad de Verano de la Convention pour la sixième République.
