Mont de Marsan
Mont-de-Marsan está ubicado en el departamento francés de Landes (región de Aquitania) y tiene una población de 29,489 (1999). La ciudad es parte del arrondissement de Mont-de-Marsan y se sitúa exactamente donde los ríos Midou y Douze convergen en el Midouze. A pesar de que la ciudad no es grande, desempeña un papel importante en términos de administración. Hay muchos edificios públicos del siglo XIX, y estos edificios están muy bien mantenidos. La ciudad también tiene una pista de carreras de caballos donde se celebran diversas carreras de caballos cada año. En estas emocionantes carreras de caballos, llamadas “course landaise”, se pueden ver a varios jinetes (écateurs) saltando sobre vacas.
