El Condado de Niza era una división administrativa del Ducado de Saboya creado en 1388 en tierra ligur y que desapareció con la anexión a Francia en 1860. El condado de Niza está situado en la región geográfica italiana y tenía al oeste como frontera natural con Francia el río Var.
A lo largo del tiempo, sus fronteras no han evolucionado. Corresponde en la actualidad al distrito de Niza, en el departamento de los Alpes-Marítimos y pertenece a una región cultural viva, que recibe le nombre de "País nizardo" . En casi cinco siglos de existencia, el condado de Niza se mezcla a la historia de Italia. Un país nizardo cuya coherencia está asegurada por la ciudad de Niza, capital regional y que se caracteriza por una profunda identidad.
