Clasificado monumento histórico en 1926, este refugio prehistórico magdaleniense se sitúa sobre la orilla norte de la Beune, a algunos kilómetros de Les Eyzies. El bestiario tallado en la pared (alto relieve) ocupa la casi totalidad del espacio del refugio (15 metros de largo).
Los caballos, bisontes, ciervos están superpuestos. Merced a la fuerza y la profundidad de sus relieves, “El refugio del Cabo Blanco” es una de las mayores obras maestras de la escultura monumental en el arte del Paleolítico Superior (-35 000 / - 10 000 años).
Se puede también visitar un SAS museográfico.
