La Sinagoga de Lunéville fue la primera que se construyó en Francia desde la Edad Media, "con permiso del rey Luis XVI", entre 1785 y 1786. La sinagoga fue declarada monumento histórico en 1980.
La fachada de la sinagoga sigue la tradición arquitectónica de Lorena. Recubierta de un revestimiento de arenisca rosa de los Vosgos, antes de ser martillada durante la Revolución, testimonia la integración de la comunidad judía en Lunéville. Varios símbolos esculpidos en el friso que separa el primer y el segundo nivel mostraban el agradecimiento de la comunidad judía al rey Luis XVI.
En el segundo nivel, la opulenta guirnalda de ramas de vid y la corona parcialmente martillada simbolizan al pueblo judío y la Ley transmitida por Dios a Moisés.
En el lateral, una pequeña puerta estaba reservada a los niños, para que pudieran salir de la sinagoga sin interrumpir el servicio
El edificio está abierto durante las horas de culto.
