La majestuosa catedral domina la ciudad de Bourges. La catedral de Saint-Etienne, Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO desde 1992, es única por su diseño. Obra maestra del arte gótico, admirable por sus proporciones y la unidad de su diseño, es testimonio del poder del cristianismo en la Francia medieval. La longitud de la nave y la ausencia de transepto son características notables de la singularidad de la catedral.
La catedral alberga una rara colección de vidrieras de los siglos XIII al XVII.
Suba los 396 escalones de la torre norte, o "Torre de la Mantequilla", desde cuya cima podrá disfrutar de una impresionante vista de la catedral y de una panorámica de la ciudad. Accesible sólo en julio y agosto.
