Esta fortaleza feudal desempeñó un importante papel económico y militar. El castillo original fue demolido hacia 1302 por orden de Felipe el Hermoso. Posteriormente, esta plaza, protegida por murallas, albergó un pequeño asentamiento, que aún existía en el siglo XVI. El molino, el puente medieval, la capilla, la puerta fortificada, los muros cortina y los edificios del siglo XVI hacen de este lugar un sitio maravilloso, cargado de historia y enmarcado en un paisaje impresionante.
