Antigua ciudad principal de la comuna de Goutrens, antes Cassagnes-de-Panadès (siglo XIII), llamada así por el castillo de Panat, que se encuentra en una cima al otro lado del valle, sobre Clairvaux. Cassagnes se menciona desde el año 1000. La localidad incluía tres castillos: el castelviel o castillo de Comte, Saint-Félix sobre el pueblo y luego el de Hebrard y Flars, en la parte inferior del pueblo (familia Mancip, señor de Bournazel). Estos edificios estaban conectados por un recinto. Hoy en día es una aldea pintoresca con vistas a los viñedos de Marcillac, que alberga una capilla del siglo XIX.
Le aconsejamos no lejos de allí: visita del viñedo de los Cros, visita del espacio Georges Rouquier con Goutrens y "nuestras campañas anteriormente" con la Palairie.
