La capilla de la Madeleine está construida sobre una terraza que domina el valle del Borne. Según la tradición oral, la capilla fue en su día el emplazamiento del castillo de Planchamp, aunque no existen pruebas arqueológicas que apoyen esta afirmación.
La iglesia es un pequeño edificio típico del siglo XII, construido con un fino lazo de granito arenado y compuesto por una sola nave de dos tramos que termina en un ábside semicircular con bóveda de cañón. El pequeño campanario porticado parece moderno.
En su interior, la capilla alberga el corazón de Odilon Barrot, como indica una placa conmemorativa en la pared del ábside.
