La iglesia de Saint-Pierre fue construida en la calle de Ardilliers en el siglo XVII. Inicialmente una capilla reservada al Colegio de los Jesuitas, este edificio se convirtió en iglesia parroquial en 1773 con el nombre de Saint-Père; sustituyó al antiguo lugar de culto de Nervers del mismo nombre, que se había instalado en la plaza Guy Coquille y se derrumbó en 1771. Más tarde se convirtió, con un nombre más moderno, en la iglesia de Saint-Pierre. En 1944, el estallido de las bombas causó muchos daños en el monumento: se desprendieron y cayeron trozos de yeso, se formaron grietas y las vidrieras salieron volando; parte del tejado se arrancó y expuso las pinturas a una prolongada erosión. La iglesia fue restaurada en la segunda mitad del siglo XX
