Esta iglesia pertenecía originalmente a la abadía de Saint-Pierre de Sauves. Es un edificio de transición: la bóveda de cañón roto ha sustituido a la bóveda de medio punto tanto en la nave como en los arcos del portal. En la base de las bóvedas hay una ligera banda sostenida por pequeños modillones. Cinco capillas la prolongan, una al norte y cuatro al sur.
En 1900 - 1901, el campanario fue reconstruido para albergar la campana y el reloj de la ciudad.
Una lámpara de araña de finales del siglo XVI, una Virgen de madera dorada, una estatua de N.D. des Victoires de la época de Luis Felipe, son los tesoros que alberga la iglesia de Saint-Germain, además de su púlpito.
