La iglesia data del siglo XIV. De estilo románico, posee una antigua capilla de estilo gótico flamígero que alberga la estatua de San Fabien, patrón de Rimeize.
La historia de esta iglesia es azarosa porque el 15 de enero de 1791, tras la recogida del dinero recaudado durante la colecta, la iglesia se derrumbó sin causar heridos. Este milagro se asoció al santo de la iglesia, ya que el accidente se produjo el día de San Fabián. La iglesia tiene una escalera de caracol que es una obra maestra. Se reconstruyó 6 años después con la ayuda de todos los habitantes del pueblo.
