Situada en el centro del departamento, Périgueux es un punto de partida ideal para visitar todos los lugares del Périgord. Hay muchas actividades de verano, entre ellas el Festival Internacional de Mimo MIMOS (agosto), pero también actividades culturales con sus barrios históricos (VESUNNA, Cathédrale Saint Front,...) sin olvidar la gastronomía con sus numerosos restaurantes donde se puede pasear por las calles medievales, mientras se descubren las mansiones privadas del Renacimiento. Para los amantes de la naturaleza, la Voie Bleue (piragüismo) y la Voie Verte Verte (senderismo, ciclismo, patinaje) le ofrecen más de 15 km de rutas....
