En el pueblo viven 964 "mazurois". El pueblo se remonta a finales del siglo XI. En la época feudal, pertenecía al feudo del señor de Montcornet. La última reconstrucción de la iglesia de Saint-Rémi data de 1793, época en la que el campanario contaba con cuatro pequeñas agujas hoy desaparecidas. Fundada en 1228, la abadía cisterciense de Les Mazures fue durante mucho tiempo un lugar de peregrinación. Sólo queda una pequeña capilla (ver foto).
