Con vistas a los valles de Graine y Vayres, el castillo de Rochechouart alberga desde 1985 el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de la Alta Vienne. El paisaje, la historia y el imaginario son los tres temas principales de la creación de esta institución por el Consejo Departamental de Haute-Vienne. Instalada en un notable edificio del siglo XV, el diálogo entre patrimonio y arte contemporáneo ha permitido crear una colección internacional de arte contemporáneo, así como obras más específicas del lugar. En 1989, con la creación de la colección Raoul Hausmann (compuesta por 600 obras y numerosos archivos), el Museo encontró su figura tutelar en el célebre dadaísta.
