El castillo de Inverness se encuentra en un acantilado que da al río Ness en Inverness, Escocia. La estructura de arenisca roja, que exhibe un estilo castellano temprano, es obra de algunos arquitectos del siglo XIX. William Burn diseñó el tribunal del sheriff, Joseph Mitchell las paredes de contención con baluartes, y Thomas Brown II el tribunal de distrito, originalmente construido como prisión. Se erige en el sitio de una estructura defensiva del siglo XI. Hasta el 30 de marzo de 2020, alojó el tribunal del sheriff de Inverness: este se ha trasladado ahora al centro de justicia de Inverness.
