Checkendon es una aldea y parroquia civil a unas 6 millas al oeste de Henley-on-Thames en South Oxfordshire y a unas 9 millas al noroeste de Reading en Berkshire, en una franja de altitud media de los Chilterns.
La parroquia tiene un registro de asentamiento continuo desde el siglo VII. Está listado en el Libro Domesday como Cecadene. La parroquia cubre aproximadamente 1,500 hectáreas y se encuentra entre 150 metros y 170 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
