Sevenoaks es una parroquia civil y una villa del distrito de Sevenoaks, en el condado de Kent . Esta ciudad comunica con Londres gracias a diversos trenes de cercanías y se encuentra a 21 millas de London Charing Cross. Es la ciudad principal del distrito de Sevenoaks, seguida por Swanley y Edenbridge.
El nombre de esta villa proviene de la palabra anglosajona "Seouenaca", nombre dado a una pequeña capilla cercada por siete robles ubicada en Knole Park, alrededor del 800 D.C. Históricamente, Sevenoaks fue parte de la Gran Mansión de Otford, en manos de los Arzobispos de Canterbury.
