Crowborough es una ciudad en el distrito Wealden de Sussex Oriental en Inglaterra. Está situada en el Weald y en el borde del bosque de Ashdown, en la zona de High Weald Area of Outstanding National Beauty 7 millas al sur-oeste del Royal Tunbridge Wells y 35 millas al sur de Londres. Cuenta con carretera y ferrocarril y es dirigido por un concejo municipal. Es la mayor ciudad del interior en East Sussex.
Existen varias derivaciones para el significado del nombre de la ciudad. Antes de convertirse en un acuerdo, documentos locales utilizan los nombres de Crohbergh, Crowbergh, Croweborowghe, Crowbarrow y Crowboro. Croh . Gorse, que crece en abundancia en la zona de Beacon Crowborough, y sus flores amarillas bien podría haber contribuido a su significado.
