Dunsfold es un pueblo en el distrito de Waverley, Surrey, Inglaterra, a 8.7 millas al sur de Guildford. Se encuentra en el Weald y alcanza en el norte el escarpe sur de la Cresta de Greensand. Incluye el Canal Wey y Arun, y poco menos de la mitad del Aeródromo de Dunsfold, que se comparte con Alfold.
El nombre del pueblo fue registrado como Duntesfaude en 1259, Duntesfaud en 1272 y Duntesfalde en 1291, lo que aparentemente significa el redil de Dunt. Alternativamente, puede derivarse de las palabras en inglés antiguo dun y fold. De cualquier manera, "folding" significa cerrar con cercas, una forma de mover ovejas por la tierra para que pasten los restos de cultivos previamente cosechados. Este método todavía se emula en la ganadería moderna de ovejas, con y sin corrales alrededor del pueblo. Hay algunas vacas Aberdeen Angus premiadas que se crían aquí, pero el último rebaño de leche ha cerrado ahora.
