El puente de cuerda en Carrick-a-Rede es un puente colgante que conecta el continente con la isla de Carrick. Los pescadores de salmón construyeron puentes en este lugar durante varios siglos. El puente abarca 20 metros y cuelga a 30 metros sobre las rocas. Aunque nadie ha caído del puente, muchos visitantes no se atreven a cruzarlo. Este puente es principalmente una atracción turística con aproximadamente 140,000 visitantes al año (2005). En la temporada de salmón (de junio a septiembre), también los pescadores de salmón siguen utilizando el puente, aunque la pesca de salmón se ha vuelto marginal.
