El ataque de Medway, también llamado batalla de Medway o batalla de Chatham, fue un exitoso ataque holandés sobre los barcos más grandes que tenía la Marina Real británica anclados en su base principal de Chatham entre el 6 y 14 de junio de 1667.[1] El ataque fue parte de la Segunda Guerra Anglo-Holandesa que fue un conflicto armado entre Inglaterra y las Provincias Unidas de los Países Bajos durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVII. Las dos potencias marítimas continuaron chocando en los mismos mares que en el anterior conflicto.
Esta derrota humillante para los ingleses impulsó la firma, dos semanas después, del Tratado de Breda, cuyos negociaciones se encontraban estancadas desde marzo.[1]
