Swansea es una localidad galesa, en el Reino Unido, siendo además una autoridad unitaria.[1][2] Está situada en el sur del país, en la bahía de Swansea, y cuenta con 239 000 habitantes. Fue un importante centro industrial y portuario durante los siglos XIX y XX.
Swansea tiene un clima templado, típico del oeste de Gran Bretaña, con un clima más suave en las zonas montañosas y en los valles interiores debido a su ubicación en la costa. Sin embargo, Swansea está muy expuesta a los vientos provenientes del Atlántico, que hacen que sea la ciudad más húmeda del Reino Unido.
