Boomtown es un festival de música británico que se celebra anualmente en la propiedad Matterley en el Parque Nacional South Downs, cerca de Winchester, Hampshire. Se celebró por primera vez en 2009 y se ha llevado a cabo en su actual ubicación desde 2011. Su diversa alineación de bandas, DJs y conferenciantes se presenta en muchos escenarios diferentes, cada uno perteneciente a un distrito con su propio tema individual. Cada evento anual se conoce como un Capítulo y expande la línea de la historia del año anterior, contada a través de las actuaciones, actores en vivo y muchas formas de juegos de realidad alternativa. El sitio del festival está dividido en varios distritos, y la narrativa se refleja en el diseño de los distritos, calles y lugares, que están poblados por cientos de actores que desempeñan el papel de habitantes. La gran escala de los escenarios y la infraestructura requieren seis semanas de construcción y un mes de desensamblaje.
