Los famosos petroglifos del pequeño pero histórico pueblo de Asfolytis están relacionados con un hombre peculiar: Michalis Roussos. Vivió en Asfontylitis en la primera mitad del siglo XX. Al estar discapacitado, no podía moverse fácilmente con su silla por las calles laberínticas y desordenadas del asentamiento. Así que, mientras esperaba varias horas a que sus seres queridos terminaran su trabajo, pasaba su tiempo haciendo petroglifos con un martillo y un cincel. Y los encuentras por todas partes. Pero especialmente aquí, cerca de los cisternas de agua. Porque aquí se encontraba con personas que paraban a beber agua y compartían información que Michaelis usaba para hacer nuevos dibujos.
