Montepulciano es una ciudad italiana de 13 984 habitantes[3] de la provincia de Siena en la Toscana. El municipio se encuentra a 605 metros sobre el nivel del mar, entre Val di Chiana y Val d'Orcia.
De antigua y larga historia, Montepulciano tiene orígenes etruscos de aproximadamente el siglo IV a. C. Cuenta con excelentes viñedos, de los cuales se obtiene el Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
