Buren) es un municipio en la provincia holandesa de Gelderland. El municipio cuenta con 27.225 habitantes y tiene una superficie de 142,93 km². La ciudad fortificada homónima de Buren tiene lazos históricos con la Casa de Orange. El municipio de Buren en su forma actual se originó a partir del antiguo municipio de Buren, tal como existía en el siglo diecinueve. Hasta 1978, el municipio de Buren consistía en la ciudad misma y los pueblos de Asch y Erichem. El 1 de enero de 1978 se añadieron al municipio los municipios de Beusichem, Zoelen y una parte de Buurmalsen. El 1 de enero de 1999, Buren se amplió con los municipios de Lienden y Maurik. Desde 1999, el ayuntamiento ya no se encuentra en Buren, sino en Maurik.
