Kuinre es un viejo pueblo pesquero que anteriormente tenía conexión fluvial con el Zuiderzee. Hay diversos edificios antiguos y fachadas, como la mantequería de 1648 (se encuentra a 80 m de la ruta en la calle Henric de Cranestraat). Durante el drenaje de la Noordoostpolder se han encontrado restos de dos castillos, entre ellos el del caballero ladrón Henri de Crane. Encontrará los restos en el montículo del castillo en el Kuinderbos.
