Bunnik ) es un municipio en la provincia neerlandesa de Utrecht. El municipio cuenta con 15.649 habitantes y tiene una superficie de 37,62 km². La localidad principal es el pueblo de Bunnik. La historia del municipio se remonta a hace unos 2000 años. Los romanos construyeron poco después del comienzo de nuestra era un importante castillo con un puerto en el antiguo curso del Rin, su río fronterizo. En ese momento, el Lek era menos importante. La mayor parte del agua fluía desde Wijk bij Duurstede hacia el norte, pasando por Bunnik a través de Utrecht hasta Katwijk aan den Rijn.
