Se encuentra al norte de Warns, al noreste de Stavoren, al sur de Hindeloopen y al suroeste de Koudum. El núcleo del pueblo se encuentra donde De Gronzen se encuentra con De Fenke y Het Wijd, que desemboca en el Dijkvaart a lo largo del IJsselmeer. A lo largo del Dijkvaart hay un parque de vacaciones y en la zona sur del pueblo hay un área de bungalows y un puerto deportivo junto al agua De Geeuw. En 2021, el pueblo contaba con 360 habitantes.
