La plaza Wilhelmina también llevó el nombre de plaza Jeroen Bosch durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. En 1941, por orden del ocupante, se prohibió el uso de nombres de miembros vivos de la casa real neerlandesa. La plaza Wilhelmina recibió otro nombre. Se hizo referencia al pintor Jeroen Bosch. Cuando el 27 de octubre de 1944 se liberó 's-Hertogenbosch, se restableció el nombre.
