La Montelbaanstoren es una torre de Ámsterdam construida en 1516 en Oudeschans 2. El nombre proviene de que el Duque de Alba quería construir un castillo junto a esta torre, y quería darle el nombre de Monte Albano. La torre pasó a llamarse "Monte-Albaens-tooren", que en la jerga popular se deformó hasta convertirse en Montelbaanstoren. La torre tiene el apodo de Malle Jaap, ya que las campanas de la torre alguna vez comenzaron a sonar espontáneamente a horas irregulares.
